How to Measure Your Ring Size

Keep in mind that the same finger on your left and right hand can have different sizes, so always measure the finger on the hand where you plan to wear the ring.

1. Measure an existing ring (better option).

If you already have a ring for the finger you want to order a new ring for, you can measure that ring. Place the ring on a ruler so that the ruler passes exactly through the middle, and measure the inner diameter of the ring.

It’s very important to be precise when measuring – record the measurement to half a millimeter. You can then compare the diameter with the sizes in the chart below to choose the correct ring size.

2. Measure Your Finger (this is the least accurate method).

Cut a narrow strip of paper (3 mm wide) and wrap it around the finger. Ensure the strip is wrapped tightly around your finger, as every millimeter of circumference can affect the ring size. Mark the point on the strip where the stip crosses, then straighten the strip and measure its length – this is the circumference of your finger.

You can then compare the circumference with the sizes in the chart below to choose the correct ring size.
